Despite a very difficult night for Ukraine and its citizens, we are holding on and do not stop our activities. On March 22-23, the School of Peace at the Ivan Zubkov Lyceum #3 in Derazhnya is holding a workshop on Social Unity.
On March 19, Aliona Yarova, a lecturer of literature at the University of Malmo (Sweden), met with the students. Ms. Yarova joined the meeting online, presented the book “The Yellow Butterfly” by Oleksandr Shatokhin and told the children about the graphic novel. The children got acquainted with the book and paid attention to the details, drawing style and colors.
During today’s meeting, the whole class discussed the book. Afterwards, the students divided into five groups of five and discussed the individual pages of the story in their groups and added a post-it note with a short text on each page. When this task was completed, each group presented their story to the whole class.
Afterwards, the students performed cohesion exercises prepared for them by Oksana Lytvynenko and Iryna Dmytrenko, trainers from the Modest Levytskyi Peace School at Lutsk Lyceum #4, who came to Derazhnya to participate in the Social Unity workshop.
This event was organized by the NGO “Poruch” with the support of the project “Strengthening Civil Society in the Eastern Partnership Countries”, which is jointly funded by the Government of the Federal Republic of Germany and the European Union.
